The Cares Family has nine years' experience building community, connection and cohesion in our rapidly changing world.
In that time we’ve worked with local authorities, commissioners, health agencies and national government departments to help them to bring people together in meaningful, authentic ways in their own neighbourhoods.
We are now working with partner local authorities to develop strategies that to help them to better engage citizens – including constituents, community organisations, partners and their own staff – in meaningful ways including by:
- Developing inclusive volunteering initiatives which bring people together and build bridges across divides;
- Transforming services and commissioning processes to remove bureaucracies and automation where possible;
- Creating policies that help people feel part of the process of change, rather than left behind by it;
- Using language that people can understand.
